The unique formulation of the bioVag medical device is recommended in cases of:

• recurrent infections and dryness of the intimate area,
• burning, irritation, itching and discomfort associated with inflammation of the intimate area,
• disturbances in the pH of the intimate area,
• women with an active lifestyle.

The principal active ingredient of bioVag cream-gel is BioFemme®, which consists of postbiotics derived from lactic acid bacteria, including Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus reuteri. BioFemme® mainly contains organic acids and dipeptides, which are known and described as compounds with antibacterial and antifungal activity; they support the creation of optimal conditions for the growth of the microflora and therefore help maintain the natural acidic pH of the intimate area. The mechanism of action of postbiotics includes inhibiting the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria and fungi and preventing the formation of bacterial biofilm on the surface of the intimate area. In the case of postbiotics derived from lactic acid bacteria, the formation of a physical barrier against bacterial and fungal pathogens by unique organic acids is of particular importance. A healthy microbiome in the intimate area inhibits the excessive growth of pathogenic bacteria and fungi that cause inflammation, including Candida albicans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The product inhibits the growth of Candida albicans fungi and the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus approximately 8 hours after application (manufacturer’s own studies). It supports mucosal regeneration, has a moisturising effect and relieves itching and burning in the intimate area. The product contains significant amounts of free amino acids. bioVag helps maintain the balance of the bacterial microflora of the intimate area.

Wash your hands thoroughly before using the bioVag medical device. To apply the cream-gel, remove the applicator from the protective film and remove the pink applicator cap. Then use the plunger to dispense the entire contents of the applicator onto the application site. It is recommended to apply the cream-gel at night. The cream-gel ranges in colour from beige to brown due to the raw materials used.

The applicator is intended for single use only. It is recommended to remove any tampon before application. Dispose of the applicator after use. Do not use after the expiry date. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use the device after consulting a doctor. Report any concerning symptoms associated with the device to the manufacturer.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature between 15°C and 25°C, out of the sight and reach of children. Protect from light and moisture.
