Biolan Max eye drops provide long-lasting relief, moisturisation and care for symptoms associated with:

• mechanical stress, e.g. during wearing of hard or soft contact lenses, or during ophthal- mic diagnostic procedures,
• environmental stress, e.g. induced by air conditioning, wind, coldness, dryness or air pol- luted by cigarette smoke for example,
• work on the computer, on microscopes and during/after long car journeys.
• regular use of certain medicines
• decreasing tear production with age
• allergens such as pollen, animal hair, dust, etc.

Preservative-free Biolan Max eye drops are also well tolerated during long-term use. Biolan Max is suitable for contact lens wearers. The contact lenses do not have to be removed during the application of the eye drops.

Biolan Max eye drops care for and moisturise the ocular surface and relieve the symptoms of dry eye syndrome (e.g. irritation, redness, itching, watering and/or increased sensitivity of the ocular surface) by forming a preservative-free, viscoelastic, transparent protective layer on the corneal surface that does not impair the quality of vision. This is achieved by the high water-binding capacity of the sodium hyaluronate contained, the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, which also occurs naturally in the vitreous body of the eye, among other things.

To open the bottle, remove the tamper-evident ring by pulling the special tab until the seal has been completely removed. Then remove the cap by pulling upwards. Tilt your head back a little, look upwards and gently pull the lower eyelid away from the eye. Holding the bottle with the opening pointing downwards, instil 1 drop into the conjunctival sac by applying firm, sustained pressure to the bottle. This procedure may be repeated 3-5 times daily. Close your eyes slowly to allow an even distribution of the liquid on the eye surface. Avoid any contact of the opening with the eye or the hands. Remove any drop remaining on the opening by gently tapping the bottom of the bottle. Then close the bottle by gently pressing the cap over the opening. If the discomfort gets worse or does not improve, please consult your ophthalmologist!
The special sterile filter system in the dropper allows air to flow back into the bottle only after several seconds without squeezing the bottle following instillation of the product. Without this waiting period an additional abstraction is hindered. Because of this physical reason there is also applied pressing necessary with increasing emptying of the bottle.
Do not use the product if the tamper-evident ring on the cap is broken or the bottle is damaged. Do not touch the eye with the dropper. Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the components. If other ophthalmic products need to be used, wait 15 minutes before applying Biolan Max. Biolan Max should be applied last. Do not use in infected or injured eyes. Temporary blurred vision may occur after instillation. Do not drive or operate machinery during this time. Wait until normal vision has returned. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated by the symbol on the bottle and carton. Once opened, the product may be used for no longer than 12 months. Due to the special, innovative, sterile filter system in the dropper, a small amount of the product always remains in the bottle.

Store at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C. Do not freeze. Close the bottle after using with the cap. Protect from light by storing the bottle in the folding box. Please keep the product out of reach of children.
