Biolan eye drops provide long-lasting relief, moisturisation and care for symptoms associated with:

• mechanical stress, e.g. during wearing of hard or soft contact lenses, or during ophthal- mic diagnostic procedures,
• environmental stress, e.g. induced by air conditioning, wind, coldness, dryness or air pol- luted by cigarette smoke for example,
• work on the computer, on microscopes and during/after long car journeys.
• regular use of certain medicines
• decreasing tear production with age
• allergens such as pollen, animal hair, dust, etc.

Preservative-free Biolan eye drops are also well tolerated during long-term use. Biolan is suitable for contact lens wearers. The contact lenses do not have to be removed during the application of the eye drops.

Biolan eye drops care for and moisturise the ocular surface and relieve the symptoms of dry eye syndrome (e.g. irritation, redness, itching, watering and/or increased sensitivity of the ocular surface) by forming a preservative-free, viscoelastic, transparent protective layer on the corneal surface that does not impair the quality of vision. This is achieved by the high water-binding capacity of the sodium hyaluronate contained, the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, which also occurs naturally in the vitreous body of the eye, among other things.

Detach one single dose container. Make sure that each single dose container is intact. To open the single dose container, twist off the flat end (do not pull). Tilt your head slightly backwards, look upwards, gently pull down the lower eyelid and instil 1 drop into the conjunctival sac. This procedure may be repeated 3-5 times daily. Close your eyes slowly to allow an even distribution of the liquid on the eye surface. If the discomfort gets worse or does not improve, please consult your ophthalmologist!
Do not use the product if the single-dose container is damaged. Do not touch the eye with the tip of the single-dose container. Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the components. In very rare cases, the use of the eye drops may cause irritation in very sensitive eyes. For single use only; as Biolan contains no preservatives, any solution not used immediately after opening must be discarded. If you also use other eye drops / eye ointment, wait about 15 minutes. Biolan should always be applied last. Do not use in infected or injured eyes. Temporary blurring for a brief period may be experienced after application; avoid driving, operating machinery and wait until normal vision is restored. Do not use the eye drops beyond the expiry date which you can find on each single-dose container and on the folding box.

Store at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C. Do not freeze. Protect from light by storing the single-dose containers in the carton. Biolan is supplied in small plastic containers that may be swallowed by young children. Therefore, please keep the product out of the reach of children.
